Information we collect
Information you give us
- Booking and contact requests: your name, email address, project type, dates and anything you write in the message.
- Booking assistant chats: if you use the AI booking assistant, the messages you type and its replies. When you tap "Review & send", a summary and the chat are added to your request so our team can read them. Nothing is sent to us until you send the request.
- Email and calls: what you send us and our replies.
- Stock footage purchases: your name, email, billing country, the clips and license you choose, and the order and payment confirmation. Payments are processed by PayPal. We do not receive or store your full card or bank details.
Information collected automatically
- Server logs: our hosting provider records IP address, browser type, pages requested and timestamps to deliver the site and keep it secure.
- Browser storage: small items that remember your cookie choices, whether you've seen the intro, and your cart. See the Cookie Policy.
- Analytics (only if you opt in): if you turn on Analytics in Cookie settings, Google Analytics records pages and sections viewed, approximate location (city/country), device and browser type, how you arrived, and actions such as opening the booking window or sending a request. Google signals and ad personalization are switched off. We use it only to see what works on the site.
Services that load on this site
Some features load files from other companies. When your browser requests those files, the provider receives your IP address and basic browser information under its own privacy policy.

Links to Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, IMDb and Google Maps take you to those sites, which have their own policies.
How we use information
- Reply to inquiries, prepare quotes and plan productions.
- Perform contracts, deliver licensed footage and provide customer support.
- Process payments and prevent fraud.
- Keep the site secure and working.
- Meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.
- Send occasional updates only if you ask for them; you can unsubscribe at any time.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Legal bases (EEA and UK visitors)
We rely on: contract (quotes, bookings, license orders); legitimate interests (replying to inquiries, security, improving our services); consent (optional analytics or marketing, which you can withdraw at any time); and legal obligation (tax and accounting records).
Who we share it with
- Service providers that help us run the business, such as website hosting, email, the AI booking assistant (Anthropic), file delivery and PayPal, bound to use it only for our services.
- Production partners on a project you booked, only as needed to deliver it.
- Professional advisers such as accountants and lawyers.
- Authorities when the law requires it, or to protect rights and safety.
- A buyer or successor if the business is reorganized or sold, under this policy.
How long we keep it
Inquiries that don't become projects are kept for up to three years after our last contact. Project, order and payment records are kept as long as tax and accounting law requires. Server logs are kept for a short period set by our host. We delete or anonymize information when it is no longer needed.
Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- access the personal information we hold about you, and get a portable copy;
- correct it;
- delete it;
- opt out of sale, sharing for targeted advertising, or profiling (we do none of these);
- withdraw consent, and object to or restrict certain processing;
- appeal our decision on your request; and
- complain to a data protection authority (EEA and UK).
These rights apply to residents of U.S. states with consumer privacy laws, the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and other places with similar laws. We extend the same choices to everyone where we reasonably can.
To make a request, email info@dwinstonmedia.com with the subject "Privacy request". We'll confirm your identity, then respond within the time the law allows, usually 30 to 45 days. You can use an authorized agent, and we won't treat you differently for exercising your rights. If we decline, you can appeal by replying with "Appeal" in the subject.
Global Privacy Control
If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, we treat it as a request to opt out of sale or sharing, and we keep marketing storage off for that browser.
Children
This site is for businesses and adults. It is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we'll delete it.
International transfers
We are based in the United States (U.S. Virgin Islands), and our providers may process data in the U.S. and other countries. Where the law requires, we use appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
Security
We use HTTPS, reputable providers and limited access to protect information. No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your information, we'll notify you and the authorities as required by law, including U.S. Virgin Islands law.
Changes
If we change this policy we'll update the date at the top, and for significant changes we'll give notice on the site.
